Electrical waste

Electrical and electronic waste includes any device that operates (or previously operated) on electricity or batteries. This type of waste can be categorized as either household or industrial electrical waste.

Electrical waste contains various toxic components that pose significant risks to human health. When improperly disposed of, these components can leach into soil or water over time, polluting the environment. For this reason, disposing of electrical waste in municipal bins is prohibited, as it may still end up contaminating the environment.

Batteries and Accumulators

Batteries (consumer, industrial - electric generators, cars, electrical appliances) and accumulators are hazardous specific waste: batteries contain a number of heavy metals and chemicals, and accumulators contain lead and electrolytes. Their release into the environment or improper disassembly and use of parts is dangerous for both human health and the environment.

Tires

Discarded tires can have numerous harmful effects on the environment. Tires filled with water provide breeding grounds for mosquitoes and other insects, contributing to their spread. When tires are disposed of in landfills, they take an extremely long time to decompose, releasing carcinogenic and mutagenic substances during the process that can cause cancer and skin diseases. Tires contain highly flammable components, and burning them releases toxic substances. Inhaling these substances can lead to various serious health issues.

Waste oils

Used waste oil (excluding household oil) is classified as a specific type of waste and contains harmful chemicals and heavy metals. Its release into the environment poses serious risks to humans, plants, and animals. Just one liter of used oil can contaminate up to a million liters of fresh water. When spilled, oil is absorbed by the soil, eventually reaching and polluting drinking water sources. The spillage or unauthorized processing of used oil is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.
